THE FIVE PILLARS OF MYSTREY

The Ethiopian Orthodox church has five pillars of Mystrey through which it teacher and demonstrates its basic religious beliefs. They are called pillars of Mystrey due to the fact that they support and strengthen faithful in religious teaching as a pillar support a roof. These mysteries have a biblical foundation (1 car 14:19).

Mystrey of Trinity

The Holy is being glorified in unity and Trinity from eternity to eternity. The Holy Trinity is three in name, in person (Akal), in deed and one in essence, in divinity, in eternity, in Will.

Three in name:- Father, son, Holy spirit

There in deed:- the father is the begetter, the son is begotten, the Holy spirit is the one who proceeds.

Three in person:- the Father has a perfect person, the son has a perfect person, the Holy spirit has a perfect person.

The Father is the by Himself, and He is the for the son and for the Holy spirit. The son is the word by Himself, and He is the word of the Father, and the word of the Holy Spirit. And He is the life (breath) of the father and the son.

When we say the are in name, in deed, we do not mean to say three Gods but one God. While the Father and the son and the Holy spirit exists in the perfect persons, their very existence is one and the some. (Abulidis Faith of the Fathers 40V 4:6).

In Ignatius has said in the book of the Faith of the Fathers (Haimanote Abew) the name of the Father is not changed to be name of the son or the Holy spirit, the name of the son is not changed to be the name of father or the Holy spirit, the name of the Holy Spirit is not changed to the name of the father and the son. The Father is called father not the son or the Holy spirit. The son is called son but not the Father or the Holy spirit. The Holy spirit is called the Holy sprit but not the Father and the son. The father is the Father, the son is the son, and the Holy spirit is the Holy sprit. (Faith of the fathers (ch11 part IV 7-8)

In their one appellation, the three are called lard God the son. Lard the Holy sprit one Lord. God the son, God the Holy spirit on God. The three hundred eighteen father in the book of Faith( Haimanote Abew) Said” we believe in Lard the father, in Lard the son. In Lord the Holy spirt (Ho.Ab.Cl.19 part 4 v 4).

It is started many places in the Old and the New Testament Books about the Oneness and Trinity of the Holy trinity.

Mystrey of incarnation

Mystery of of incarnation means the mystery of the descending of God the son who is one the Trinity From heaven and taking up flesh and rational soul from the Holy Virgin Mary. This is the mystery of God's becoming God. “ The word was made flesh and dwelt among us” (Jn. 1 1:14).The Reason for the Incarnation of the Son of God.

God created Adam and Eve with out and death. “God did not make death”. But, man, through his wrong exercise brought on himself myself and suffering as well as sin and evil, and condemaned to death- death of body and soul, grave and hell (Gen 3:19-24). For God did not make dearth , he takes no pleasure in destroying the living. Do not court death by the errors of your way, nor invite destruction through the work of your hands.

To exist for this the created all things the creatures of the world have health in them, in them is not fatal poison, and Hades has no power over the world. But the godless call for death with deed and word, counting him friend, they were them selves out for him, with him deed and awrd, counting him friend , they were them selves out for him, with they make a pact, working as they are belonging to him “(Wis. 1:12-16, Rom, 6:23). “for God has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Thes. 5:9) Adam and Eve disgraced and impoverished themselves. They were expelled from the Garden of Eden.

They brought suffering and misery and were subject to the dominion of the devil. Death reigned from Adam to Christ, even to them that had not sinned (Rom 5:12). They new that. All that happened and repented. They cried to theire cry. Observing their tears and accepting their repentance, was pleased to redeem them . and give them promise (Isa 68:8, heb 2:14-16)

When the appointed time had come forth, God sent His only begotten son according to the promise. God the son, descended from heaven and was borne from the Holy Virgin mary. He was borne so that all who believe in him
