23,000 Gram Golden crosses and shields stolen from an ancient Church

Two pure gold hand crosses and two solid gold guilded shileds were stolen from Debre Hayle Eyesus Church of Beyeda distriction September 12, 2008 G.C. These rare relics Weighted above 23,000 grams or 23Kilo grams.

According to the director of the dioses Melake Hiwot Aba Wolde Georgis Taye, the said relics were stolen on the date mentioned from the building it was kept at with out any damage occurring to the door and its lock. The relics were given by RAs Kassa and Ras Guggsa during their rule in the region.

The police had been notified since the date of the stealing and they are on high alert. Currently, investigational work is being carried out on both the priesrs of the church and on people involved with it in Gondar.

Melake Hiwot Aba Wolde Georgis stressed that the relics were recorded by the bureau of culture and tourism and are the expression of Ethiopia's cultural or national Heritage. Therefore, all people of Ethiopia are called to help in the investigation process.

North Gonder, is known for its ancient Monasteries and churches. Because of this reason occurrences of llosting of holy objects and artifacts recently has become a common place phenomenon. Last year during the last days of August organized and well financed lotlers attempted to loot the 300 year old church of Dbre Berehan Selassie of Gondor. These groups who function directed from a well organized source had nearly succeeded in their attempt on the said date. Similarly two Holy Ark tablets of the law dating from the year 1114 E.C had been apprehended on the hands of Criminals during this year. The criminals were apprehended while they were bargaining to sell the tables of law by 220,000 birr.

N.B. North Gonder Zine, has 68 Monasteries and above 2000 churches It is from the half of the year 2000 E.C. Such occurrences increased.

Mehabere Kidusan pulling effort to Organize Libraries in different dioses

It was announced by Mehabere Kidusan that organizing the libraries of Monasteries and Churches should be under taken in order to save the sole of the laity from spiritual attack of heretics and Gentiles.

The director of Kenbata Alaba Tinbaro dioses Melake Tion Aba Michael Hayle Mariam stated, that spiritual book donation will save the sole of many of the laity from distraction and hereticism. The Mehaber has donated 113 books.

Aba Michael further expressed happiness for the timely donation and confirmed that the books will be given to many churches and monasteries to organize their libraries. He called for support form preachers in the area of preaching the many Christians found all over the dioses.

Currently inmates of prisons in the Zone are using the libraries during their stay in that institution. Ato Daniel Tesfaye secretary of Mahebere Kidusan during the donation stated that organizing libraries in different dioses will became one of the most important activities during this year.

Weyzero Alemtsehay further explained the reason of the donation as an attempt to strengthen spiritual preachings and Sunday school associations. Finally, Mehabere Kidusan is currently engaged at extending help to rural churches. Abnet (traditional) schools and Sunday schools in different diocesses. Therefore, it would like to remained laities inside Ethiopia or abroad to extend their help for the achievement of our mutual objective.

St. Gabriel of Canada is now in the rightful bossom

The St. Gabriel church of London Ontario, Canada, was established thirteen years ago by His Grace Abune Mathias, Archbishop of EOTC in Canada, with the due blessing of the patriarchate office.

This church was living under its unlawful snatchers for seven years. Its tabot and other holy utensils were also transferred again illegally to America.

Thanks to the relentless efforts of the church's clergy and laity, its administration has with all its belongings transferred to the bosom of the right church authority, Holy Abune Mathias has indicated.

In the ceremony held to mark the transfer, Abune Mathias has told the gathering the need to work for a unified service to the church under one rightful umbrella.

God's Hand Demolished the Unholy House

It was on August 24, 2008.In the St. Georgeis Parish of the town of Assebot Moslems organized a huge conference where two Arabs participated as preachers. The mosque in the town was filled with people to its brim. It was announced right there that two bishops, seven priests and thirty deacons have embraced Islam having listened to the Islamic homily. Emboldened by this fiction, a task force was also assigned to Islamize the entire town. Christians were seriously grieved.

Now, God started His work. A powerful, torrential rain started to fall. It was destined to last for about four minutes only. In such a brief time, that mosque where people were talking their shit was demolished. That is not all about the wonder. No Christian house, heritage, or whatsoever was harmed even slightly. God's hand is indeed mighty!
