New Book Inaugurated and on sale

 

Mahibere Kidusan has published a new book called, ' yb@t KRStEÃN mr©ãC ' /Church Informations/.

The 699 page book authored by Dn. Daniel Kibret was inaugurated and launched for sale at a ceremony held on November 11,2006 at the Jerusalem Hotel in Addis Ababa present at the ceremony were His Grace Abune Kewstos, Arch bishop of the North Shoa Selale Diocese of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahido Church, officials of the patriarchate office, executives of the association, foreigners and other invited guests.

 

The book, which, it was learnt, has been prepared in a lexicographic and encyclopaedic style, is said to be extremely informative.

 

The author, Dn. Daniel Kibret, has indicated that the preparation of the book has taken some seven years. This much time was invested to pain-stakingly work on the resource qualitatively. The book is said to be essential to preserve the teachings /faith, history and tradition/ of the church and transcend it to future generations.

 

On top to this, it is said to have much economic value to the country by introducing many untapped tourism resources to domestic and foreign tourists.

 

It was also commented at the ceremony that the book would be of invaluable help to historians, philologists and travelers.

 

His Grace Arch bishop Abune Kewstos has applauded the effort exerted by Dn. Daniel Kibret and his association, Mahibere Kidusan, for tirelessly preparing this extremely important reference. The faithful have been advised to not only read it for themselves but also donate it to their nears and dears, and also preserve it for the coming generation.

This relatively volumous book is known to cost. Ethiopian Birr 70.
